Goodman Arts Centre

Goodman Arts Centre (GAC) is a 7-acre arts hive nestled within the culturally-rich Mountbatten district. Established in 2011, GAC serves as a place to bring together artists, arts enthusiasts and neighbouring communities in experiencing the arts in a warm and intimate manner.

BLACK was engaged by Arts House Limited, the placemaker of GAC to revitalise the space and establish its relevance in its surrounding environment. The refreshed colour scheme includes earthy tones like Cloud, Slate Grey, Whispering White, Knockout Red, Porcelain Blue and Iris Bouquet. Each colour is assigned to different zones and facilities to provide clear wayfinding within the space, and infuse warmness into the rigid structures. Supergraphics marking each space were also introduced to support navigation both within, and to the centre from various entry points.
