The Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) serves close to a million residents living in the Central Singapore area.

The CDC envisions itself as a do-good district, with a mission to Assist the needy, Bond the people and Connect the community, through a suite of 52 community programmes that reach out to four key communities: Children, Youth, Adults, Seniors; and four key causes: Arts & Culture, Environment, Healthy Lifestyle and Special Needs.

Aside from meeting ground needs through localised initiatives, the CDC also value-adds to the community as a whole – developing district-level initiatives and creating sustainable programmes, as well as supporting meaningful community projects.

BLACK reviewed and refreshed the Central Singapore CDC’s brand and identity. To reinforce and encourage the CDC’s role across all their initiatives and platforms, a full suite of logos were designed for every community program, each encompassing the CDC logo’s Heart symbol—representing the CDC as the Heart of Singapore, and a Heart for Singapore. The refreshed identity and guidelines also consider how the brand is presented among public, within the organisation, and across casual and formal, digital and print applications.
