Curated by the legendary Dick Lee, this immersive exhibition traces how Singapore’s distinct culture emerged from the contributions of diverse immigrant communities. Presented in five chapters, it highlights how these varied influences blended into a shared identity that is rich in heritage and creativity, often described as the “rojak spirit,” where differences come together to form something uniquely ours.
SingaPop! showcases the evolution of everyday Singaporean culture, from hawker food and music to film, fashion, Singlish and the National Day Parade. What began as humble roots has grown into a cultural expression recognised on the global stage.
SingaPop! 60 Years of Singapore Pop Culture is presented by ArtScience Museum and mm2 Entertainment, supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
